Live events are a whole different beast to on-screen presenting, but Angharad has developed this skills to be a dynamic and engaging MC for events – both in person and live streamed. She has done hosting for the Australian Game Developer Awards, presenting and judging for the ScreenIT awards, and opened the NFSA Game Masters exhibition.
Her technical audio and visual knowledge (combined with being a gear head) means her at-home setup is very high quality for both streaming and recording. She has self-filmed, and edited, broadcast quality content for the ABC, PAX Australia, Atlassian, and Ballarat City Council. She prides herself on having the best darn live cross setup you’ve ever seen on ABC Weekend Breakfast.
Her wide range of interests has led her to host events such as APRA AMCOS’ High Score: Composition and Sound Art for Gaming several years running. Combining her passion for games and music, this event brings local and international talent together to hone skills and industry knowledge.
She has also hosted a screening at the Adelaide International Youth Film Festival, working with the young attendees to broaden their horizons regarding representation in film and film theory.
Angharad has done a number of appearances at gaming conventions, including EB Expo, PAX, TooCon, GammaCon and Hybrid World Adelaide.
